The airport symbol appears, turns on, but it does not appear to be scanning for anything at all, no networks appear on the list. I recently moved home, and I am still getting the same problem. I remember the last time I tried connecting wirelessly, it was unable to pick up any networks, but I didn't look into it any further at the time and just connected with ethernet as usual. I am running 10.4.11 on an iMac g4, and am using an Airport Extreme card that has previously worked with no issues, but then was not being used for several months.
